One way to find a mantra to help get you moving and keep you focused is song lyrics. Most people have a favorite song or two that bring your energy levels up and get your to a great place mentally. While memorizing the entire song, or playing it every time you want an extra boost, may not be an option under all circumstances, selecting a key line or phrase can help you develop a powerful mantra.

Whether it is a piece of dialogue from your favorite character, a section of a monologue, or a powerful phrase, literary works can also provide inspiration for your work outs and competition days. Whether a particular line from authors like Karen Salmansohn or Richard Bach moves you to perform better, or the thoughts of tough characters like Katniss Everdeen or Drizzt Do’Urden help you push through challenges, books can be an excellent source of inspiration suitable for a mantra.
